Atlanta Budokan feels very strongly that women should be able to defend themselves to the best of their abilities. To help them acheive this, we offer a class designed to help women embark on a path to take control of their own personal safety.
Women’s Self-Defense Techniques Course
The Women’s Self-Defense Techniques Course at Atlanta Budokan is an intensive 5 hour program designed to teach hands-on methods of defending against an attacker. You will be given the information and tools you need to utilize both your mind and body. Our Women’s Self-Defense Course is taught at both our Acworth and Smyrna locations and is designed for women of all ages. The content of this program includes the following:
- Characteristics of an attacker
- Characteristics of a victim
- How to properly secure your home and automobile
- How to avoid different types of attacks
- Strategies to decrease the odds of you being attacked
- Strategies for increasing your odds of survival if you are attacked
- How to be confident but not foolish
- Effective striking & vital point attacks
- How to maintain physical boundaries
Class meets one day for 5 hours. Classes are limited to twenty attendees, so please reserve a spot as early as possible. The cost is $90. Dojo members get a 25% discount ($67.50) Group discounts and sessions are also available.
